Payne, SIOR president of Goodfellow Ashmore CORFAC International announced today that the GA retail team has recently completed the following transactions: Garett Palmer represented the buyer of 236 Federal Rd, Brookfield, which is the current location of the Savoy Rug. The building is 5,031 square feet on 1.23 acres. The selling price was $1,500,000. Plans include the demolition of the existing building as part of a Costco site plan revision that will consist of a new Costco gas station, expansion of their existing building and a new entrance and light to the Costco property. Construction work will start in early spring 2012.

Garett Palmer represented both parties in a restaurant lease at 270 Federal Rd Brookfield to El Coyote Mexican restaurant. The space consists of over 3,000 ft with a full bar and outdoor seating. The restaurant is scheduled to open early 2012. This is El Coyote’s second restaurant with their first located in Monroe, CT.

Goodfellow Ashmore represented both parties in a lease at 128 Federal Rd in Danbury. The tenant is American Breeder’s pet store. The building is across the street from Stew Leonard’s and the space consists of approximately 2100sqft. Garett Palmer and Joe Wrinn represented the landlord. Brian Donahue represented the tenant. American Breeder plans to open early spring 2012.

DANBURY, CT, March 1, 2010 – Goodfellow Ashmore CORFAC International (www.goodfellows.com) in Danbury announced that the firm brokered the sale of the Bartlett Realty property located at 66 Wooster Heights in Danbury for $1,800,000. The 5.02 acre property was previously leased by the Bartlett Tree Service company and featured two buildings totaling 6,752 square feet, and was sold to JAR Associates in Danbury. Ernie Badillo, Goodfellow Ashmore CORFAC International sales associate, represented both parties in this notable closing on February 16, 2010. Todd Payne, SIOR, president and owner, of Goodfellow Ashmore, commented, “This would be a notable property sale at any time, but certainly one of significance during recent economic times.”

The 66 Wooster Heights property was leased to the Bartlett Tree Company by Bartlett Realty Corporation in Stamford, Connecticut. Fred Tobin, General Counsel for Bartlett Realty explained, “We are a holding company that acquires and leases properties, and the Bartlett Tree Company is an affiliate of Bartlett Realty.” Mr. Tobin reported that the Bartlett Tree Service company is the third largest company of its kind in the world. “Bartlett Tree Service is in 30 United States, Canada, Great Britain and Ireland. Here in Connecticut, we have offices in Danbury, Stamford, Simsbury and Guilford, and we are the third largest commercial and residential tree service company in this region.”

Purchased in the 1940s, the two buildings on the Wooster Heights property were originally a house and a barn. The house was renovated into office space, and the barn converted into a warehouse where local operations as well as Connecticut divisional operations were conducted for Bartlett Tree Service, and a subsidiary public utilities operations company that has since been divested. “When the Bartlett Tree Service divisional operations were moved to Southampton, New York on Long Island in the late 1990’s,” explained Tobin, “operations have been downsized over the past decade and the need for property the size of the 5.02 acre Wooster Heights site decreased.”

DANBURY, CT, February 26, 2010 – Peter Racevicius of Woodbury, Connecticut, has joined the team of Goodfellow Ashmore CORFAC International in Danbury as Director of Business Development for Greater Waterbury. Todd Payne, President of Goodfellow Ashmore CORFAC International, commented, “Peter’s background and extensive business relationships in the area are the perfect fit with our corporate plans for growth in the Greater Waterbury market. Peter’s sales management and manufacturing experience, combined with Goodfellow Ashmore’s operating platform, will allow our 75 year-old commercial realty group to provide superior services to the Greater Waterbury commercial real estate and business community.”

A native of Naugatuck, Racevicius was Executive Corporate Director and Director of Sales and New Business Development with Naugatuck Glass Company for 20 years. In this position, he coordinated sales, marketing, customer service and contract-review efforts for custom-manufactured glass and mirror components used in aerospace, cosmetic, automotive, medical and industrial applications. Racevicius was instrumental in creation of the company’s global brand image, dominant market share, and he spearheaded the company’s merger and acquisition team.

Racevicius is a graduate of Holy Cross High School in Waterbury, and graduated with his BSBA in Marketing and Management from Northeastern University School of Business in Boston in 1988. In 1986 and 1987, he captained the Division 1 Golf Team of Northeastern University earning All New England Team Honors.
